Course Price: $50.00 (in advance); $55.00 (day of class)



This is a 4 hr. hands-on & demonstration course, that is a continuation from the online 101 course version. This course offers a more hands-on approach - in regard to the "application phase" of incorporating aromatherapy with your nail and manicuring services. (Note: You do not have to take the Aromatherapy & Nail Services 101 course as a pre-requisite for the 102 course.) 
Some lecture & hands-on activities for this course include:
*Lecture & recap of the 101 course
*A comprehensive review of literature regarding various aromatherapy & essential oils
*A demonstration of different types of spa-related services and aromatherapy procedures that can be utilized
*An examination of the scent of several essential oils, and how they pair with various manicuring services
*A discussion of Sanitation & Sub-chapter H of the N.C. State Board of Cosmetology Rules & Laws
*A recommendation of various trade shows, vendors, and resources for your supply/"back bar" of essential oils
*Distribution/handout of a sample menu of services, that includes essential oil & aromatherapy marketing and pricing for services
As mentioned in the Aromatherapy & Nail Services 101 online course description, the face-to-face 102 course also outlines how to be a "specialist" in offering aromatherapy; and how to develop a "niche market" for various services in the manicuring field - including spa manicures, spa pedicures, and overall manicuring services.
Below is a synopsis of the 101 course, and a more hands-on approach (of all items in 101) will be implemented in the face-to-face Aromatherapy & Nail Services 102 course as well.

*The definition of Aromatherapy, and how essential oils are created and/or distilled
*The review of dozens of Aromatherapy-related essential oils that are prevalent in the beauty industry; and how these oils are utilized within manicuring services
*Side effects and contraindications of various essential oils, and how to practice safely with their use
Aromatherapy-Related Services for Manicurists
*Manicuring services and various steps within the spa manicure, in which you can incorporate Aromatherapy
*Pedicuring services and various steps within the spa pedicure, in which you can incorporate Aromatherapy
*The spa service environment, and how aromatherapy can be utilized within your salon/spa overall
Marketing, Financial Earnings, & Business Initiatives
*Various type of marketing initiatives, in which you can showcase Aromatherapy being used within your salon or spa menu of services
*Price-related factors regarding Aromatherapy, and how you can increase your financial earnings
*The review of different levels of aromatherapy-related services you can offer
Sanitation Procedures
*Review of Sanitation Sub-chapter 14H - of the N.C. State Board of Cosmetic Art Examiners Board Laws & Rules
