This Course is Offered to Licensees, Licensed by The N.C. Board of Cosmetic Arts Examiners (CE Credit and Professional Development Certification) - and Licensees Out-of-State (*Licensees outside of North Carolina will receive Professional Development Certification)

Course Hours: 8 hrs.; Course Eligibility: Cosmetologists (C), Estheticians (E), Teachers (T), Students (S)

Course Information: 

This course is designed as an 8-hour Face-to-Face (hands on) course for Cosmetologists, Estheticians, and Teachers (Cosmetology and Esthetics Teachers respectively). This course offers 8-hours of microdermabrasion certification training - and has a two-part component of "theory and practice." From a theoretical perspective, this course will cover topics including: the concept of microdermabrasion; anticipated results; contraindications; the skin; exfoliation; and sun protection. From a practical perspective, this course will provide hands on training with course participants, and the overall goal is for participants to effectively understand and administer a full microdermabrasion procedure on the face and neck.
